Usually after her morning walk, my sweet pup, Maggie May, is content to hang out with me at the office when I can have her along. This morning, however, she just wants to have fun! She keeps nudging my leg and putting her nose under my hands for pets. I have to admit it's a bit of a distraction!Yesterday I was at Trader Joe's (following a muddy walk with Maggs) and saw a woman with a pup that looked almost identical to my baby with a few notable exceptions. First of all, my dog was, at that moment, a completely different color having just walked, run and practically bathed in mud. The other pup had clearly just come from the groomer and had perfectly clipped fur as well as a dignified manner. Maggie, as much as I love her, is not what I would deem perfectly trained. This pup (her age!) was INSIDE Trader Joe's and was the model citizen. Being trained as a guide dog, she looked ready for her first assignment already! VERY impressive. I admit to a fleeting thought about what would happen if I secretly made a quick switch. Would anyone notice? Tee hee. Of course any dog lover knows I'm just joking. Despite the continued kitchen counter exploration, I wouldn't trade her for anything!!! She is darling, isn't she?!
